Bhakti yoga is a big tree of various branches, of which, the main branches are mantra yoga or chanting of mantras; nada yoga, singing or realizing God through sounds or music; and kirtana yoga, praising God through songs, dance and explaining His glories through stories with their esoteric teachings. Since\u00a0last couple of weeks my family have been noticing that\u00a0I have been spending quiet a lot time on computers and started asking what was going on ? They were the first to know that the thought of an online\u00a0radio had already sown the seed in my mind and a strong determination was just\u00a0tagging it. Seeing me working day and night with all the books and tutorials on radio broadcasting, my daddy and\u00a0kids\u00a0could no longer ignore me and\u00a0asked me, what was I\u00a0doing? I took a great pleasure in putting out my thought to them and while I\u00a0am still working\u00a0on to accomplish this task,\u00a0the news\u00a0spread\u00a0immediately to friends\u00a0and relatives. After few of my friends and relatives got the news of this website and started listening to the melodious divine music in the glory and praises of our beloved Sai Baba, they asked me, Where did I get this idea of starting a radio and hosting this website? <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Since childhood , I have a strong liking for music. About 25 years back at\u00a0the age of just 12 I had bought my first cassette tape,\u00a0after saving my snack allowances\u00a0for 5 to 6 months. Slowly my interest grew from filmi music to ghazals, qawaali, sufi, classical,etc. and finally few years back it ended at divine music in forms of bhajans, dhuns and stutis in praise of gods and goddess.\u00a0Couple of years back I was introduced to a bhajan group in our area and since then my interest grew manifold. Frequently I started sending whatever I was listening for that day or at that time to my friends\u00a0and relatives who shared similar interest.\u00a0Slowly this become a frequent activity and when at times I was busy would get lots of email asking haven’t I been listening anything new or wanting to share with them ? Few years back I used to DJ sometimes for old hindi music website and had some exposure, atleast in terms of what would require to start your own radio station.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Soon I was googling for getting quotes and\u00a0estimates from\u00a0good streaming music providers and in a day or two, like everything was waiting right there for me\u00a0I quickly found\u00a0a provider and\u00a0started the radio in Auto DJ mode.\u00a0Some of you must have seen the very first home page where I had only two lines of instruction and a link to the radio. A good meaningful website was needed to support the radio and the whole message behind it. Tried various tools, even one of the version was building the site from scratch, but was taking too much time. Came across Drupal CMS tool and before this website, I had never touched it. But once again, as if the knowledge was just waiting to get fed into my brain and was able to put up this\u00a0website in less than few days. It so truely demonstrates a perfect example of, when Baba decides to assign different works to devotees, he himself has already taken care of all that is required and necessary to accomplish it. I am a software architect by profession and have no skills like a Radio DJ. But what I have is total\u00a0faith in my Baba,\u00a0a huge collection\u00a0of devotional music and a passion for it. So I started this with a great pleasure thinking its one of the work assigned by Baba to this devotee. I will conclude this with an inspirational\u00a0reading from\u00a0Shri Sai Satcharitra, Chapter III.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Different Works Assigned to Devotees:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>The Lord entrusts different works to different devotees. Some are given the work of building temples and maths, or ghats (flight of steps) on rivers; some are made to sing the glories of God; some are sent on pilgrimages; but to me was allotted the work of writing the Sat Charita. Being a jack of all trades but master of none, I was quite unqualified for this job. Then why should I undertake such a difficult job? Who can describe the true life of Sai Baba? Sai Baba\u2019s grace alone can enable one to accomplish this difficult work. So, when I took up the pen in my hand, Sai Baba took away my egoism and wrote Himself His stories. The credit of relating these stories, therefore, goes to Him and not to me. Though Brahmin by birth, I lacked the two eyes. (i.e. the sight or vision) of Shruti and Smriti and therefore was not at all capable of writing the Sat-Charita, but the grace of the Lord makes a dumb man talk, enables a lame man to cross a mountain. He alone knows the knack of getting things done as He likes. Neither the flute, nor the harmonium knows how the sounds are produced. This is the concern of the Player. The oozing of Chandrakant jewel and the surging of the sea are not due to the jewel and the sea but to the rise of the moon. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
